Privacy Policy for the Contractor Marketing NW app
Effective October 10, 2026
Contractor Marketing NW builds websites and runs Google Ads for contractors in Washington and Oregon. This policy covers the Contractor Marketing NW iPhone app, which our clients use to work the leads their websites bring in. Our public website has its own policy at contractormarketingnw.com/privacy.
Who the app is for
The app is for our clients and the people at their company who are given a login. It is not for the general public and it is not for children.
What the app collects from you
- Your sign in. Your email address and your name. If you use Sign in with Apple, we get the identifier Apple gives us and either your email or Apple's private relay address.
- Your phone's notification token, so we can tell you when a lead lands, and your choices about which notifications you get and your quiet hours.
- What you do with a lead. Stage changes, how a call went, site walk dates and addresses, signed contract amounts, why a lead was lost, and your notes. If you add a lead by hand, the name, phone number, town, project, and notes you type, or the name and number of the one contact you pick.
- What you send us. Messages, your reactions to messages, change requests, job photos, the sentence about a finished job, and the name and mobile number of a homeowner you want to text a review link to.
- Your rates. The prices you set in the price book, and when and by whom each one was changed.
- Your orders. What you order from the catalog, its price, when it was paid, and the payment reference Stripe gives us. Card numbers never reach the app or our server.
- Photos you pick or take in the app, and a profile photo if you add one. Nothing else from your photo library.
- Your team. The name and role of each person you invite, who invited them, and which lead is given to whom.
- When you last opened the app and which version you have. Arseni sees this so he can tell whether the app is working for your company. The people at your company do not see it.
What the app does not collect
- Your location.
- Your contact list. If you pick a homeowner from your contacts, iOS shows the picker and hands the app only the one contact you choose.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Analytics about how you use the app, beyond the time you last opened it. There is no third party analytics, advertising, or tracking code in it.
- Your calendar. When you add a site walk to your calendar, the app puts it on the calendar you pick and moves or removes it when the walk changes. It only looks for the site walks it added, and nothing from your calendar is sent to us.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising to you.
Leads from your website
When a homeowner fills in a form on your website, the app shows you what they sent: their name, phone, email, town or address, project details, photos, message, and the site walk time they asked for. It also shows the search and the page that brought them to your site, when your site passes those along. When you mark a lead as spam, the app keeps that phone number and email on a list for your company, so the next request from them is filed without a notification. You are the business they contacted. We store and process this for you so the marketing service works.
For clients on Google Ads management, we also keep where each lead came from, including the Google click identifier when there is one. When you mark a lead Won, the signed contract amount for a lead that came from an ad can be sent to your own Google Ads account as a conversion value. That tells your ads which searches bring signed jobs.
How we use what we collect
- To show you your leads and notify you about them.
- To build project pages on your website from the job photos you send.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To show you your numbers.
- To price quotes on your website from the rates in your price book. Your website reads them from our server with a private key. They are not published as a list.
- To show you how many visits your website had each day. These are counts from your own site, not a record of who visited.
- To suggest additions to your website from your own leads, such as a town that sent requests and has no page, and to deliver what you order.
- To run and tune your Google Ads, if we manage them.
Who can see it
- You, and the people at your company with a login. Owners and office staff see the company's leads and numbers. Crew see only the leads given to them, without prices or contract amounts.
- The people at your company see each other's name, email, role, and profile photo.
- Arseni Filon at Contractor Marketing NW, who builds your site and runs your ads.
Each company's data is kept apart from every other company's by access rules in the database. One client cannot see another client's leads, messages, photos, or numbers.
Companies that help us run the app
- DigitalOcean hosts our server, which holds the database, the photo storage, and the sign in system.
- Apple delivers notifications and provides Sign in with Apple.
- Google receives conversion values in your own Google Ads account, as described above.
- An email delivery service sends password reset codes.
- Stripe takes payments on its own checkout page. It receives your email, what you bought, and the card or Apple Pay details you enter there.
They process data for us to provide the app. They are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your company's leads and app data while you are a client. When you stop being a client, we delete your company's data from the app when you ask.
Deleting your account
Open Account in the app and choose Delete my account. This removes:
- Your login, your name, and your email.
- Notifications to your phone.
- The messages, requests, and job photos you sent from the app, and your profile photo.
Your company's lead records stay, so your marketing keeps running and anyone else at your company with a login still has them.
An owner can also take a person off the company's team. That person's login stays theirs, and it no longer opens the company's leads. To have those deleted too, email arseni@contractormarketingnw.com.
How we protect it
- Everything between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.
- Photos are in private storage. They are not public links.
- On your phone, the sign in is kept in the iOS Keychain and saved data is protected by iOS file protection.
- Signing out or deleting your account wipes the app's saved data from the phone.
- You can lock the app with Face ID. The check happens on your phone and we never see it.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in iOS Settings, or choose which ones you get under Account, Notifications.
- Say no to the camera. You can still pick photos.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion.
Children
The app is a business tool. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If the change matters to how your data is handled, we tell you in the app's Messages before it takes effect.
